Places to Visit in Diglipur Island

Ross and Smith Islands

Ross and Smith Islands are the most popular places to visit in Diglipur. There is a natural white sandbar which joins the two islands and emerges at low tide. It's amazing these islands, with all the crystal clear waters and tender sand beaches. They're great for swimming, for lying on and for snapper.

The islands can be easily reached from Aerial Bay Jetty by a short boat trip. Completely tranquil and nature lovers/ family friendly. Just as the sandbar moves daily, the day varies and changes daily! The highlights of my travels to Diglipur are always its people and landscapes.

Saddle Peak National Park

The Andaman Islands' highest rock is at the Saddle Peak National Park. The park has lots of jungle and wildlife. A fantastic trek in Diglipur is along the banks of the river. It's a place where old-fashioned people can relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of nature.

Those who visit will be greeted with spectacular views from the roof! There are numerous butterflies, birds and native plants in the park. A place that's safe for the adventurous spirit. Each trek is a unique experience, as well as being an enjoyable one.

Kalipur Beach

Besides being a favourite beach for turtle nesting, the peaceful ambience of Kalipur Beach makes it a popular beach. A beautiful green area surrounds the beach, and the views from this beach are outstanding. One of the most beautiful & scenic beaches in Diglipur.

There will be one of the long walks that goes through the waterside. Several different sea turtle spawners are known to use this beach. The best times to arrive are early or late evening. The peaceful ambience is ideal for unwinding. A popular place for nature lovers to go.

Ram Nagar Beach

The beach at Ram Nagar is favoured because of its serene ambience as well as clean beaches. This beach is not as crowded as other beaches in Andaman Islands. A breezy and welcoming setting of lofty trees and gentle sands. Ideal for relaxing summer days by the seaside.

There is an opportunity for people to enjoy a stroll along the beach and enjoy the sea. Its peaceful demeanour would seem appropriate for couples and families. This is another favourite place to take photos as well!

Alfred Caves

One of its popular caves is Alfred Caves (450m), one of the most adventurous caves that can be visited in Diglipur. The cave system is composed of some limestone caves, but thick forest covers the cave system. Both caves exhibit the same interest and are candidates for exploration. It is one of the more popular among the adventurers.

In the caves, one can view the rocks (which are not typically found in these caves) and, at times, hike through the cave and experience bats. They travel down this avenue to their objective, taking in the stunning scenery of the area they are in. It is suggested that a visit be made under the guidance of an expert local guide. An important place in North Andaman.

Lamia Bay Beach

Lamia Bay Beach is a beautiful, rocky beach close to Saddle Peak National Park. In the background, there is an ocean scene, and the overall atmosphere is calm and serene. No swimming at the beach; it's a place where beauty is present.

Photographers' favourite stop. People love just to relax and see the waves, rocks, stones, etc crashing. The view is enhanced by this sweet, pretty, wooded landscape. It is advisable to view early morning. The village which is one of the most aesthetically pleasing ones in the area of Diglipur.

Pathi Level Beach

Pathi Level Beach is a peaceful beach amidst nature, lush with trees and greenery. The calm water and inviting beach invite you to unwind. Here in Diglipur, this is one of the not-so-well-known sightseeing spots. It is recognised as a beauty spot and is treated as such by its visitors.

The quiet ambience is ideal for couples and lovers of nature. Could also be a fantastic place with which to take photographs and walk along the shore. The beach doesn't get very busy throughout the year. An ideal place for a cute and quiet vacation!

Twin Islands Sandbar

The Twin Islands are home to one of the region's wonders: this sandbar. Has a white sand beach that is connected to Ross and Smith Islands. Tides alter the shape of the sandbar, as they come in and out during the day. Produces an amazing ‘tropical habitat '.

When the tide is low, it is possible to walk between the two islands. Swimming and taking photos are ideal here as there is clear water surrounding it. There isn't any angle that isn't breathtaking. This should not be ignored for anybody to experience a taste of Diglipur.

Mud Volcano (Shyam Nagar)

Shyam Nagar is a very rare place of interest in North Andaman: the Mud Volcano at Shyam Nagar. The natural gas was small and damp and emerged from the ground as a large flow of water gushing out of a hose. It allows visitors to see a unique natural phenomenon.

There appears to be a site of interest to visitors. This view is near the parking lot and can be appreciated from a short walk. Will be pleasant in a peaceful atmosphere. A lesser-known neighbourhood of the town of Diglipur. A little 'experience' just for the nature lover and he or she.

Turtle Nesting Site

The beach is a place for the egg-laying of several species of sea turtle. It is lots of fun for wildlife enthusiasts, and for visitors to photograph up close and personal with wildlife. It has been identified as an important conservation area.

Stay back; everybody has to obey the Community rules! Responsible Tourism can be seen to play its part in conserving the endangered turtles. It's a natural phenomenon, with which almost everyone is acquainted, and gives their guests at Diglipur one of the best wildlife experiences.
